OPC(Ole Proccess Control) pada PLC Festo merupakan standar industri untuk mengkomunikasikan PLC Festo dengan HMI(Human Machine Interface). Software HMI yang akan dikomunikasikan kemPLC Festo adalah Wonderware InTouch. Pada sistem cooling tower PLC digunakan untuk mengendalikan suhu dan level air di dalam cooling tower. Agar pengontrolan suhu dan level air ini dapat di pantau dan dikontrol dari jarak jauh oleh HMI, maka dibuatlah OPC untuk mengkomunikasikan PLC Festo dan wonderware. Software OPC yang digunakan pada sistem ini adalah KEPserverEX5. Software ini bekerja dengan menampung data PLC pada OPC server dan data ditampilkan oleh OPC Qlient sehingga bisa diakses oleh Wonderware. Kemudian Wonderware Bisa memantau dan menontrol plan dari jauh. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa software KEPserver dapat mengkomunikasikan PLC Festo dengan HMI Wonderware InTouch dengan runtime selama 2 jam Kata kunci: OPC, PLC Festo, HMI, KEPserverEX5.

Ole process control OPC is the industrial standard for communicating between Programmable logic control PLC developed by FESTO with human machine interface HMI. Wonderware intouch is used as the programmable software of human machine interface. This interfacing is implemented to cooling tower system for controlling temperature and the water level. OPC is used for monitoring from the other place. Thus, OPC has been used in this final project. OPC software type which has been used is KEPserverEX5. This type works to collect data from PC in server then the data will be displayed by OPC client. Nevertheless, the data could be accessed by wonderware. The examination results the KEPserver could communicate the PLC to the human machine interface based on wonderware intouch with 2 hours running time. Keywords: OPC, PLC Festo, HMI, KEPserverEX5.
