The key system of hotel room is very important to taking care of the room. At this moment, there are still a lot of insuffiency in the system and one of them is they aren’t have activities and times recording system from its use and the condition of the key can’t be watched in lock or unlock position.
To finished the problems, it is need to designing the key system by using RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification), so the system will be easy to use without lessening the security point.
The function of this scheme is to lock and unlock the key and recording the activity and time from its use by using RFID which is connected with microcontroller and personal computer (PC). The Microcontroller that will be use is AT89C51 and the Pc’s will using Borland DELPHI program to watched the condition of the key and recorded processing. The serial communication will be used to connecting the system with the PC by using COM1 and the data transfer baudrate in 9600 bits per second (bps). The system will be controlled two keys for two hotel’s rooms
