Purpose of this research is to know how comparison of criminal Lead at Pikiran Rakyat Daily News with Seputar Indonesia Daily News toward shortness of criminal lead, clarity of of fact, important first paragraph, and use grammar. This research used content analysis. The population is 90 Lead of criminalduring March 2007, with 32 sampl, and sampling technique used purvosive sample. The data collecting in this research used observation, interview and improve literature study. The content analysisi technique used three agree – codes. The result of data processing, show that criminal Lead at Pikiran Rakyat Daily News more have shortness, clarity of fact and use grammar compare Seputar Indonesia Daily News. Both of news papers have similiarty for clarity of fact. In generally, both of Newspapers have a view differences lead. Pikiran Rakyat Daily News follow guidance of lead – writ compare Seputar Indonesia Daily News.
