Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang sangat pesat dapat memacu segala aspek kegiatan untuk memanfaatkan teknologi tersebut, dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan suatu sistem informasi yang tepat, cepat dan akurat. Salah satu dari aspek yang perlu ditunjang oleh teknologi komputer adalah sistem informasi Simpan Pinjam Koperasi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan di koperasi PT. Rodamas Group Slipi Jakarta Barat, memerlukan sebuah solusi untuk mengatasi segala masalah yang berhubungan dengan aspek simpan pinjam keuangan. Masalah yang sering muncul diantaranya kesalahan dalam proses perhitungan simpan pinjam, pencatatan yang masih menggunakan media kertas atau buku sehingga data sering rusak atau hilang. Hal-hal tersebut akan memperlambat kinerja petugas koperasi.
Metode pendekatan sistem yang penulis gunakan yaitu metode pendekatan terstruktur. Metode pengembangan sistem yang penulis gunakan yaitu paradigma prototype, sedangkan metode analisis sistem yang penulis gunakan yaitu dengan menggunakan alat bantu yang terdiri dari Flowmap, Diagram Konteks, Data Flow Diagram (DFD). Adapun metode pengumpulan data yang penulis lakukan dalam skripsi ini yaitu sumber data primer seperti observasi dan wawancara, dan sumber data sekunder yaitu berupa dokumentasi yang didapat dari buku ataupun dokumentasi dari perusahaan. Dan untuk membangun perangkat lunak tersebut penulis menggunakan bahasa pemrograman VB 6.0 dengan menggunakan Database SQL Server 2000.
Hasil dari sistem informasi ini dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektifitas kinerja dari petugas, sekretaris dan bagian bendahara. Kelebihan dari sistem simpan pinjam ini arus informasinya saling terkait dari setiap divisi sehingga proses pengolahan datanya relatif cepat antara komputer satu dengan lainnnya sehingga berbagai proses simpan pinjam dapat dilayani seperti yang diharapkan.

The development of information technology that can rapidly accelerate all aspects of activities to take advantage of these technologies, in order to obtain an appropriate information system, fast and accurate. One of the aspects that need to be supported by computer technology is a system of Cooperative Savings and Loan information. Based on research conducted in cooperation PT. Rodamas Group Slipi Jakarta Barat, requires a solution to overcome the problems associated with the financial aspects of savings and loans. Problems that often arise include errors in the calculation of savings and loans, records that still use paper or a book of media so that data are often damaged or lost. These things will slow down the performance of the cooperative officials.
The system approach method writer using the method of structured approach. Method system development which writer use that is paradigm prototype, while the systems analysis method I use is by using the tools of Flowmap, Diagram Context, Data Flow Diagram (DFD). The data collection methods that the author did in this thesis is the primary data sources such as observation and interviews, and secondary data sources in the forms of documentation obtained from books or documentation from the company. And to build that software writers using VB 6.0 programming language using SQL Server 2000 database.
The results of this information system can improve the efficiency and effectiveness performance of the officer, the secretary and the treasurer. The advantages of this loan and saving system information flows related to each other from each division so that the process is relatively quick processing of data between a computer with so many savings and loan process can be served as expected.
