Dewasa ini industri migas Indonesia berkembang pesat. Mesin yang digunakan pun semakin banyak untuk menunjang kegiatan industri migas. Salah satunya adalah katup-katup yang digunakan pada industri migas. Meskipun sebagian besar katup sudah diproduksi di dalam negeri, namun untuk katup berjenis fire safe valve ini masih diproduksi di luar negeri. Untuk meningkatkan tingkat komponen dalam negeri maka tugas akhir ini akan membahas tentang teknologi reverse engineering dari fire safe valve. Tugas akhir ini mencakup pengumpulan informasi, analisis fungsi komponen dan pengukuran serta pemodelan produk. Dalam tugas akhir ini pengukuran menggunakan alat ukur vernier caliper, CMM dan pengukuran non-contact dan pemodelan body valve menggunakan perangkat Konika Minolta Vivid 910 (non-contact 3-D digitizer), Geomagic DesignX. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah model 3D dan 2D dari fire safe valve, analisa keterkaitan fungsi umum dan analisis geometri dari komponen body valve dan perencanaan proses manufaktur body valve. Oil and gas industry has developed so fast these days. Even more machines are used to support the activities of oil and gas industry. One of them is the valve used in oil and gas industry. Although most of the valves are produced domestically, the fire safe valve are produces overseas. To increase the domestic component level, this final project is made to discuss about the reverse engineering of fire safe valve technology. This final project includes information gathering, component function analysis and measurement, and product modeling. In this final project, the measurement used the instrument of vernier caliper, CMM and non-contact measurement. The modeling of body valve used the device of konika minolta vivid 9i (non-contact 3D digitizer), Geomagic DesignX. The result of final project is 3D and 2D model of fire safe valve, relation of general function analysis and geometry analysis of body valve and planning of the body valve manufacturing process.
