Penelitian yang berjudul ÃâProses Pembentukan Combining Form dalam Istilah-istilah Medis di British National Corpus (BNC)Ãâ ini membahas tentang proses pembentukan unit morfologi serta relasi makna yang terbentuk oleh combining form. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis serta mendeskripsikan tentang unit morfologis yang membentuk combining form, kelas kata yang terbentuk oleh combining form serta relasi makna yang diperlihatkan oleh combining form. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini deskriptif yaitu mendeskripsikan data melalui analisis yang diformulasikan dalam rumusan masalah. Data mengenai penelitian ini diambil dari British National Corpus (BNC). Berdasarkan hasil analisis penelitian ini, combining form terbentuk berdasarkan unit morfologis root dan bound root. Selain itu, dapat disimpulkan juga bahwa combining form yang terbentuk berdasarkan unit morfologis root dan bound root dikategorikan ke dalam kelas kata nomina dan adjektifa. Kemudian relasi makna yang diperlihatkan oleh combining form yaitu berupa relasi makna meronim.

The research entitled ÃâProses Pembentukan Combining Form dalam Istilah-istilah Medis di British National Corpus (BNC)Ãâ discusses the process of morphological unit formation and the relation of meaning formed by combining form. The research aims to analyze and to describe the morphological unit which forms the combining form, word classes formed by the combining form, and also the relation of meaning shown by the combining form. The method used in this research is descriptive which describes the data through the analysis formulated in the research question. The data of this research are taken from British National Corpus (BNC). As the final result, the combining form are formed based on the morphological unit root and bound root. Besides, it also can be concluded that the combining form which is formed by morphological unit root and bound root are categorized into word classes as noun and adjective. The last is that the meaning of relation shown by the combining form is meronim.
