Pemilu merupakan salah satu mekanisme demokratis dimana terjadi proses pemilihan dan pergantian pemimpin baik itu pemilu dalam skala besar maupun skala kecil. Indonesia masih menggunakan pemilu secara konvensional dimana proses pendataan pemilih dan kandidat dilakukan secara manual dan datanya disimpan dalam media kertas, proses pemilihan yaitu mencontreng kertas suara yang disediakan, bagi pemilih yang tidak dapat melihat disediakan kertas suara dengan huruf braille. Banyak kendala dalam proses pemilu konvensional seperti proses distribusi bahan pemilu yang sering terhambat karena masalah transportasi dan jangkauanjangkauan pada daerah terpencil, sering terjadinya pemilih ganda dan mengakibatkan penggelembungan suara, proses produksi bahan pemilu yang sering lambat, penggunaan kertas dalam jumlah besar dapat mengakibatkan pemborosan dan masih banyak lagi permasalahan-permasalahan yang lain. Oleh karena itu, dengan adanya solusi pembuatan Prototipe Aplikasi EElection dapat menunjang dan melengkapi proses pemilu konvensional. Aplikasi ini dapat menangani proses pendataan pemilih dan kandidat secara digital, pencetakan kartu tanda pemilih disertai barcode id berdasarkan NIP (nomor induk pemilih) yang berasal dari NIK (nomor induk kependudukan), proses pemilu didukung media audio visual sehingga memudahkan berkenaan dengan pemilih cacat, proses perhitungan dapat cepat didapatkan hasilnya.

Therefore, with the build Prototype E-Election Applications can support and complement the conventional electoral process, this application can handle process of the collections data candidates and voters digitally, printing of voter identity cards with a barcode id based on NIP (Identity Number of Voter) from NIK (Identity Number of Population) at the identity card population, the election supported by process audio visual media, making it easier with regard to disabled voters, the calculation process can be quickly obtained results.
