Video conference adalah seperangkat teknologi telekomunikasi interaktif yang memungkinkan dua pihak atau lebih di lokasi berbeda dapat berinteraksi, Melalui pengiriman dua arah audio dan video secara bersamaan Ini bisa berupa antara dua lokasi yang berbeda (point-to-point) atau mengikut sertakan berberapa lokasi sekaligus di dalam satu ruangan konferensi (multi-point). Penggunaan teknologi conference berbasis IP dengan menggunakan protocol H.323. Meski demikian, pada kenyataanya kualitas teknologi video conference yang baik belum terjamin. Untuk itu, perlu sebuah pelayanan atau service yang dapat memberikan prioritas paket dan meminimalisir gangguan dalam lalu lintas jaringan conference. Quality of Service (QoS) merupakan metode pengukuran tentang seberapa baik jaringan dan merupakan suatu usaha untuk mendefinisikan karakteristik dan service. Secara umum model layanan untuk memberikan fungsi QoS adalah Best effort Service, Integrated Service (IntServ) dan Differentiated Service (DiffServ). Best-effort service digunakan untuk melakukan semua usaha agar dapat mengirimkan sebuah paket ke suatu tujuan. Penggunakan best-effort service tidak akan memberikan jaminan agar paket dapat sampai ke tujuan yang dikehendaki. Differentiated service menyediakan suatu set perangkat klasifikasi dan mekanisme antrian terhadap protokol-protokol atau aplikasi-aplikasi dengan prioritas tertentu di atas jaringan yang berbeda. Salah satu layanan tersebut yaitu integrated service menyediakan aplikasi dengan tingkat jaminan melalui negosiasi parameter-parameter jaringan secara end to end.

Video conference is a set of interaction telecommunication of technology which is enable two or more user be able to communicate each other in different location, through two-way delivery of audio and video simultaneously, it can be between two different locations (point-to-point) or include couple of locations at once in in the conference room (multi-point). The use of IP-based conferencing technology by using the H.323 protocol. However, in fact, the quality of a good video conference of technology is not guaranteed yet. So that, it needs a service or a service which can provide packet prioritization and minimize traffic disruption in network conference. Quality of Service (QoS) is a method of measurement of how well the network and is an attempt to define the characteristics and service. In general the service model to provide QoS functionality is Best Effort Service, Integrated Services (IntServ) and Differentiated Services (DiffServ). Best-effort service is used to perform all the effort in order to send a packet to a destination. The use of best-effort service disable to give guaranteed that the package would be up to the desired destination. Differentiated service provides a set of tools classification and queuing mechanisms to protocols or applications with a certain priority over different networks. One such service is an integrated service provides applications with a guaranteed level of negotiation parameters through the network end to end.
