Pengamanan yang digunakan untuk mengamankan arus gangguan hubung singkat terutama hubung singkat antar fasa adalah rele arus lebih. Berdasarkan karakteristik waktu kerja rele arus lebih itu terdiri dari beberapa jenis. Sehingga dibuatlah rancang bangun modul praktikum uji karakteristik rele arus lebih menggunakan MICOM P124, yang bertujuan untuk menampilkan pengujian karakteristik waktu tunda inverse (standard inverse, very inverse, extremely inverse dan long time inverse). Ini bertujuan untuk menguji karakteristik rele arus lebih menggunakan rele tipe MICOM P124. Dimana analisa hasil pengujian menunjukan selisih yang kecil antara waktu pemutusan pada manual book dengan waktu pemutusan pada saat pengujian, sehingga rele ini masih memiliki akurasi yang baik. Pada simulasi setting hubung singkat 2 fasa yang bekerja time delay (I>) dan pada simulasi setting hubung singkat 3 fasa yang bekerja instantaneous (I>>), sehingga rele ini masih bekerja dengan akurasi yang baik dan dapat bekerja sesuai dengan fungsinya. Protection used to secure the short circuit fault current is mainly a short circuit between phases is overcurrent relays. Based on the characteristics of working time over current relay was made up of some kind. So made design characteristic test module of overcurrent relay using MICOM P124, which aims to show the test characteristics of inverse time delay (standard inverse, very inverse, extremely inverse and long time inverse). It aims to test the characteristics of overcurrent relays using MICOM P124 type. Where the analysis of the test results showed little difference between the tripping time of the manual book MICOM P124 with tripping time during the test, so that relay still has good accuracy. In the simulation setting relay short circuit 2 phases the characteristics working is time delay (I>) and in the simulation setting relay short circuit 3 phases the characteristics working is instantaneous (I>>), so that relay still working with good accuracy and can work according to function.
