Home automation yaitu tempat tinggal yang dilengkapi dengan komputasi data dan teknologi informasi yang dapat merespon kebutuhan penghuni rumah atau hotel, bekerja dengan mengandalkan efisiensi, otomatisasi perangkat, kenyamanan, keamanan. Pembangunan sistem home automation ini bertujuan untuk mengukur penggunaan listrik disetiap kamar hotel; dapat mengendalikan perangkat elektronik di dalam kamar hotel menjadi lebih mudah, karena dapat dikendalikan oleh pegawai hotel di luar kamar; dapat memberikan notifikasi saat kamar perlu untuk dibersihkan, untuk membantu tugas housekeeping dalam membersihkan kamar hotel; serta dapat memberikan notifikasi saat terjadi kebocoran gas LPG. Pembangunan sistem home automation ini menggunakan Raspberry Pi sebagai mini PC dan Arduino sebagai mikro kontroler, serta aplikasi berbasis web sebagai antarmuka untuk tamu hotel dan pegawai hotel. Tahap pengerjaan dimulai dengan membangun web service RESTful API dengan pertukaran data berbasis JSON. Web service ini akan terkoneksi pada sebuah database. Web service yang nantinya akan menerima data dari aplikasi web tamu home automation pada Raspberry Pi dan aplikasi web pegawai monitoring yang selanjutnya data disimpan pada database, kemudian apabila aplikasi-aplikasi membutuhkan data tersebut maka web service akan mengirimkan data tersebut sesuai dengan kebutuhannya. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa apabila menggunakan Raspberry Pi dan Arduino secara bersamaan, maka sistem masih akan bekerja dengan baik pada sisi pengguna tamu hotel meskipun sedang terjadi masalah jaringan internet, karena menggunakan web server lokal dari Raspberry Pi, namun pada sisi pengguna pegawai hotel untuk monitoring akan terganggu, karena Raspberry Pi tidak mengirimkan data ke web service pada saat terjadi masalah jaringan internet. Purwarupa ini dapat memecahkan masalah yang ada di Hotel Bukit Juanda, dan penelitian ini sudah sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan.

Home automation namely residence equipped with data computing and information technology which can respond to the needs of the residents or the hotel, work by relying on efficiency, automation devices, comfort, safety. This home automation system development aims to measure electricity use every hotel rooms; can control electronic devices in hotel rooms become easier, as it can be controlled by the employees of the hotel outside the room; can provide notification when the room needs to be cleaned, housekeeping tasks to help in cleaning hotel rooms; as well as be able to provide such notification at the time of LPG gas leaks.The construction of this home automation system using Raspberry Pi as mini PC and Arduino micro-controller, as well as a web-based application as the interface for hotel guests and employees of the hotel. Stage workmanship begins with building a web service Developed API with JSON-based data exchange. This Web service will connect to a database. Web service that will be receiving data from web applications a guest home automation on Raspberry Pi and monitoring employee web applications which further data is stored on a database, then when applications need data that web service would send that data in accordance with its needs.From the results of the study showed that when using Raspberry Pi and Arduino concurrently, then the system will still work properly on the user side-although the internet network problems are occurring, since using a local web server from Raspberry Pi, but on the side of the user's staff for monitoring will be interrupted, because Pi Raspberry does not send data to the web service in the event of internet network problems. This prototype was able to resolve the problems that exist in the Hotel Bukit Juanda, and this research is in compliance with the expected goal.
