Kondisi mesin yang telah berusia lebih dari 25 tahun dan kurang baiknya perawatan dapat berpengaruh besar terhadap hasil dari produksi mesin bubut. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan suatu rekondisi mesin bubut agar kinerja mesin bubut tersebut dapat kembali sesuai dengan spesifikasi awal Pelaksanaan rekondisi mesin bubut ini meliputi pemeriksaan kondisi mesin bubut yaitu : fungsi setiap komponen, sistem kelistrikan, transmisi serta posisi geometris mesin bubut tersebut. Perbaikan dan penggantian terhadap komponen-komponen yang telah rusak. Pengujian hasil rekondisi yang meliputi fungsi komponen, kinerja dan uji geometris. Dengan adanya rekondisi mesin bubut ini diharapkan kondisi mesin dapat kembali seperti awal pemakaian mesin dan kinerja dari mesin bubut ini diharapakan dapat bekerja secara optimal, sehingga hasil dari produksi mesin bubut dapat menghasilkan suatu produk yang baik.
