Dunia Internet semakin berkembang, terutama penggunaan dalam bidang media komunikasi baik yang bersifat intern dan umum SMA N 1 Sukaresmi Cianjur merupakan salah satu SMA Negeri yang telah memakai sistem informasi berupa pemakaian perangkat komputer yang didalamnya menjalankan aktivitas kerjanya, tetapi dalam hal ini masih belum menyeluruh dalam penggunaannya, hanya dalam hal kecil saja seperti pembuatan surat-surat atau laporan. Data tentang proses akademik siswa masih dalam bentuk dokumen dan arsip. Sehingga pengolahan data tidak efektif dan efisien. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu program aplikasi yang khusus menangani seputar Sistem Informasi Akademik di SMA N 1 Sukaresmi Cianjur. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka penelitian ini terdiri dari tahap analisis sistem dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan sistem terstruktur menggunakan Flowmap, Diagram Konteks, Data Flow Diagram, Kamus Data, Normalisasi, Tabel Relasi dan Entity Relational Diagram. Sedangkan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem informasi akademik ini menggunakan bahasa pemograman PHP, database MySql dengan software aplikasi Dreamweaver CS4, dan pengembangan sistem informasi menggunakan metode prototype. Adapun hasil akhir dari penelitian ini yakni sistem informasi yang berjalan masih terlambatnya informasi dan masih kurang nya penyampaian informasi masih kurang cepat yang kemudian dianlisis dan dirancang menjadi sistem informasi akademik yang berbasis web yaitu suatu sistem informasi yang dapat mendukung perkembangan teknologi informasi yang diharapkan dapat mencapai kinerja yang diinginkan. Sistem tersebut diusulkan agar dapat menangani kendala yang ada pada sistem yang berjalan sebelumnya.

Growing Internet world, especially the use of communications media in both the internal and common SMA N 1 Sukaresmi Cianjur is one of the high schools that have been put on the form of information system which involves the use of computers to run their work activities, but in this case still has not been thorough in its use, only in small things such as creating letters or reports. Because of this, required a special application program which handles about Academic Information Systems at SMA N 1 Sukaresmi Cianjur. To achieve these objectives, Therefore this study consisted of two stages using the systems analysis approach to structured system uses Flowmap, Context Diagram, Data Flow Diagram, Data Dictionary, Normalization, Table Relationships and Entity Relational Diagram. While to design and implement this academic information system using the PHP programming language, MySQL database application software with Dreamweaver CS4, and developing information systems using a prototype method. The end result of this research is that information systems are still running late and still has less information to deliver information quickly which is still less then dianlisis and designed to be an academic information system that is web-based information system that can support the development of information technology that is expected to achieve performance desired. The system is proposed in order to handle the constraints that exist on systems running previous.
