Geographic information system is an information system which is speciality on manage spacial data information, which had ability to build, saving, manage, and represent geographics information reference, such as data which is had been indentify according to his location, on database. Agriculture Main Commodity Geographic Information System at Dinas Pertanian Tanaman Pangan Kabupaten Subang is a system which able to represent information concerning main commodity map information complete with textual information. This information could help Dinas Pertanian Tanaman Pangan Kabupaten Subang to manage main commodity information which is usually managed manually. To take complete those system which is has been build, this research using descriptive analisys method. Descriptive analisys is a research method by descripting data on the field and then compared it with the common theory. As for software development were using waterfall method. The programming language which is used to build this GIS is Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, Microsoft Access, and Mapinfo 8.0. The result from this GIS can help by provide information concerning commodity area and commodity data such as amount result, productivity etc. on report table form or graph with a given time period.
