Pasundan 8 Bandung Senior High School is one of the private schools in the city that became one of the most favorite among the schools - private schools more exist in the city, and with the increasing number of applicants each year so the more activities that should be conducted by the school. Start of new admissions, which increases class divisions, the division of the teacher for each class, and setting a schedule for each class subject to lulusnya each student. And all the activities that are running that everything is done manually, which is where in any activity not infrequently there is an error, excessive use of time and data - data that could be lost at any time. Research aimed to design and build an Academic Information System which is expected to minimize and help to every activity - activities undertaken by the school. The method used in this study is the approach OOP (Object Oriented Programming), and descriptive method to describe the problem that occurred. The tools used to define, describe, construct and document systems built using UML (Unified Modeling Language), and software used to create web-based applications is that Zend Framework using PostgreSQL Maestro as the database. Academic Information System is expected to assist in school activities either simplify, speed up and can collect data stored neatly and securely.
