Rumah Sakit Wijaya Kusumah Kuningan adalah suatu instansi yang bergerak di bidang jasa, dimana setiap pegawai Rumah Sakit harus mengutamakan pelayanannya terhadap pasien. Proses rawat inap pasien di bagian Administrasi Rumah Sakit belum terkomputerisasi. Hal ini terbukti dengan masih adanya proses pencatatan data pasien pada dokumen, serta penyampaian informasi yang dibutuhkan antar intern Rumah sakit seperti Bagian Administrasi, Dokter, Apotek dan Petugas Lab masih lambat, dikarenakan posisi ruangan yang berjauhan antara satu sama lain serta Pembuatan laporannya pun sangat lambat karena bagian Administrasi Rumah Sakit harus merekap semua data transaksi terlebih dahulu. Metode pengembangan sistem yang di gunakan yaitu metode prototype, metode ini memberikan ide bagi analis sistem atau programmer untuk menyajikan gambar yang lengkap. Dengan demikian pada metode ini pemesan sistem dapat melihat model dari sistem, baik dari sisi tampilan maupun teknik procedural yang akan dibangun. Alat yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan model dalam perancangan sistem adalah flow map, Diagram Konteks, DFD (Data Flow Diagram), ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram), Tabel Relasi. Sedangkan alat pengembangan aplikasi database menggunakan MSQL Server dan bahasa pemrogramannya menggunakan Visual Basic 6.0. Dengan adanya sistem informasi rawat inap pasien dapat mempermudah proses kerja bagian administrasi dalam pengolahan data pasien rawat inap

The Wijaya Kusumah Hospital at Kuningan is an institution engaged in services, where each employee must give the highest priority for the services to their patients. The administration process of inpatient has not been computerized yet. This is proven by the persistence of the paper based recording on the patientÂ’s medical record and also the delivery of important information between internal needs such as the administrative officers, the doctors, the pharmacists and the lab officials are still slow. This is caused by the different position of the room between each other. The reporting process has also become very slow because the administrative officers must recap all the transactionÂ’s data first. To solve the above problems, the author develops the system using the prototype method. This method provides ideas for the system analysts or the programmers to represent a complete picture. Thus in this method, the clients can also see the whole models of the system, both from the interfaces as well as the procedural techniques that will be built. The tools used to describe the models in the system design are the flow map, the context diagram, the DFD (Data Flow Diagram), the ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram), and the table relation. While for database application and programming language, the author uses the MSQL database server and the Visual Basic 6.0. The Inpatient information system can ease the process of the administrative work in processing the patientÂ’s data. The system also makes the overall service of the hospital faster and better.
