Mesin sangrai biji kopi sudah umum digunakan baik di industri rumahan maupun di industri komersil. Namun di industri rumahan mesin sangrai biji kopi yang digunakan masih berupa mesin yang sederhana dan mahal sehingga masih menggunakan banyak tenaga dari proses penyangraian biji kopi tersebut. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut akan dibuat sistem kontrol pada mesin penyangrai biji kopi secara otomatis dengan ditambah 3 pilihan proses sangrai yang masing-masing memiliki set point range suhu yang berbeda-beda yaitu; light roasting (180-205)C, medium roasting (210-220)C, dan dark roasting 240C. Dengan pembuatan sistem kontrol ini diharapkan para pegiat UMKM di bidang biji kopi dapat melakukan kegiatan produksinya tanpa perlu banyak tenaga karena alat ini otomatis dalam proses sangrainya juga bisa mendapatkan hasil sangrai biji kopi yang berkualitas karena pada kategori roasting yang diinginkan suhunya dijaga pada temperatur standar penyangraian biji kopi

But in the home industry the coffee roasting machine used is still a simple and not automatic machine so that it still uses a lot of energy from the roasting process. To overcome this problem, a control system on the coffee bean roasting machine will be created automatically with 3 roasting options added, each of which has a different set point temperature range, namely; light roasting (180-205)C, medium roasting (210-220)C, and dark roasting 240C. By making this control system, it is expected that the UMKM activists in the field of coffee beans can carry out their production activities without the need for a lot of energy because this tool automatically in the roasting process can also get quality roasted coffee beans because in the desired roasting category the temperature is maintained at the standard temperature of roasting beans coffee.
