Beasiswa adalah pemberian berupa bantuan keuangan yang diberikan kepada perorangan yang bertujuan untuk digunakan demi keberlangsungan pendidikan yang ditempuh. Penyeleksian kelayakan calon pendaftar untuk menerima Beasiswa selama ini masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga keputusan yang diambil seringkali tidak tepat sasaran dan membutuh waktu yang cukup lama. Untuk mempermudah menyeleksi calon penerima beasiswa dibutuhkan program aplikasi sistem pendukung keputusan yang diharapkan dapat membantu dalam mengambil suatu keputusan secara cepat, tepat dan akurat. Dari penelitian ini dihasilkan program aplikasi sistem pendukung keputusan untuk menentukan kelayakan penerimaan Beasiswa calon peserta didik dengan menggunakan metode TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution). Metode TOPSIS merupakan suatu model yang memiliki konsep dimana alternatif terpilih yang terbaik tidak hanya memiliki jarak terpendek dari solusi ideal positif, namun juga memiliki jarak terpanjang dari solusi ideal negatif. Kriteria yang digunakan dalam sistem ini beragam yaitu terdiri dari Ujian Psikotes, Rata-Rata Nilai Raport, Jumlah Penghasilan Orang Tua, Kerapian calon peserta didik, Semangat Belajar calon peserta didik dan Sikap Perilaku calon peserta didik. Dengan metode ini, calon peserta didik dengan nilai tertingi akan menempati urutan teratas. Sistem ini diharapkan mampu memberikan solusi dalam mengambil keputusan untuk proses penyeleksian calon penerima Beasiswa, sehingga akan didapatkan calon peserta didik yang layak untuk menerima Beasiswa.

Scholarship is a gift in the form of financial assistance that granted to individuals who aim to be used for the continuation of education pursued. Eligibility screening of the prospective applicants to receive this scholarship still done manually recently, so the decision has taken is not often effective and requires a long time. To make it easy, just needs an application program of decision supporting system that is expected to assist in taking a decision quickly, precisely, and accurate. This observation produced an application program of decision supporting system to dertemine the eligibility scholarshipÂ’s receiving of prospective students by using TOPSIS method (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution). TOPSIS method is a model that has a concept where the best chosen alternative is not only has the shortest distance from positive ideal solution but it also has the longest distance from the negative one. The criteria that uses in this system are various, they consist of psycho test, the average of raportÂ’s score, the amount of parentÂ’s income, prospective students appearance, enthusiasm for learning, and the attitudes. By this method, prospective students with the highest score will occupy the top. This system is expected to provide solution in taking decision for the process of selecting scholarshipÂ’s recipients, so it can produce the eligible students to receive the scholarship.
