Proses reaktivasi karbon aktif di PT. Cibaliung Sumberdaya menggunakan regeneration kiln yang dapat mengembalikan kereaktifan karbon aktif mencapai 60-85%. Kereaktifan ini dapat ditingkatkan dengan reaktivasi pada temperatur dan waktu pemanasan optimum, yang dilakukan pada skala laboratorium. Fresh carbon, carbon regeneration kiln, dan karbon aktif jenuh dibandingkan kemampuan daya serapnya. Fresh carbon digunakan untuk mengetahui siklus reaktivasi karbon aktif. Temperatur pemanasan divariasikan menjadi 300, 400, 500, 600, dan 700°C, serta waktu pemanasan divariasikan menjadi 60, 120, 180, dan 240 menit. Berdasarkan analisis nilai konstanta (k) adsorpsi Isothermal Freundlich dan Bilangan Iodine, kondisi operasi optimum adalah pada temperatur 600°C dengan lama pemanasan 180 menit. Karbon aktif pada kondisi tersebut memiliki nilai konstanta (k) 115,08 gram Au/kg karbon dan Bilangan Iodine 908 mg/g, sedangkan fresh carbon memiliki nilai konstanta (k) 71,94 gram Au/kg karbon dan Bilangan Iodine 756 mg/g. Pada kondisi optimum dalam siklus reaktivasi keempat pada fresh carbon menyebabkan daya serap menurunan 1,92%. Kata kunci: reaktivasi, karbon aktif, adsorpsi, Bilangan Iodine.

Reactivation process of activated carbon in PT. Cibaliung Sumberdaya using regeneration kiln that can restore the reactivity of activated carbon reaches 60-85%. Research performed during this study could increase with the reactivation of the optimum temperature and heating time, which was performed on a laboratory scale. Fresh carbon, carbon regeneration kiln, and saturated activated carbon were compared to determine their adsorption capabilities. Fresh carbon was used to obtain the activated carbon reactivation cycle. Heating temperatures were varied to be 300, 400, 500, 600, and 700°C, and the heating times were varied to be 60, 120, 180, and 240 minutes. Based on the analysis of adsorption constant value (k) of Isothermal Freundlich and Iodine Numbers, optimum operating conditions for reactivation of saturated activated carbon were at a temperature of 600°C during heating time of 180 minutes. These conditions resulted carbon active in a constant value (k) 115,08 g Au/kg carbon and Iodine Numbers 908 mg/g, whereas fresh carbon resulted in a constant value (k) 71,94 g Au/kg carbon and Iodine Numbers 756 mg/g. At the optimum conditions in the fourth reactivation cycle of fresh carbon caused an adsorption capability decrease 1.92%. Keywords: reactivation, activated carbon, adsorption, Iodine Numbers.
