Mesin pengupas kulit buah kopi kering berfungsi untuk mengupas atau memisahkan kulit dengan biji kopi kering yang telah di jemur setelah dipetik. Karena kebutuhan petani perkebunan kopi di daerah Bedeng 12, Kab.Kerinci, Provinsi Jambi, yang jauh dari sumber listrik, mesin ini dibuat atas permintaan dari petani karena kebiasaan petani untuk mengolah kopi masih menggunakan mesin yang sangat besar dan kurang efisien. Mesin pengupas kulit buah kopi kering dibuat dengan harapan dapat membantu proses pengupasan kulit kopi sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas kopi. Pada dasarnya ada 2 tahap proses yaitu tahap pengupasan dan tahap pemisahan antara kulit buah kopi dengan biji kopi. Proses pengupasan menggunakan mata pisau yang dirancang sedemikian rupa agar dapat memenuhi fungsi mengupas kulit buah kopi kering, sementara untuk pemisahan antara biji kopi dengan kulit yang telah dikupas menggunakan hisapan angin yang dihisap oleh blower aksial sehingga karena berat dari kulit lebih ringan dari biji kopi, maka kulit kopi akan terhisap sedangkan biji kopi tidak. Di dalam laporan ini dijelaskan dari tahapan perancangan, pembuatan gambar kerja, teknik pembuatan komponen, dan perakitan komponen. Laporan tugas akhir ini bisa menjadi pedoman untuk pembuatan pisau dan sistem pemisah mesin pengupas kulit buah kopi kering.

The dry coffee fruit peeler machine functions to peel or exclude the skin with dry coffee beans that have been dried in the sun after being picked. Due to the needs of coffee plantation farmers in the Bedeng 12 area, Kab.Kerinci, Jambi province, which is far from a power source, this machine was made at the request of the farmers because the farmers' habit of processing coffee is still using very large and inefficient machines. The dry coffee fruit peeler machine is made with the hope of helping the coffee peeling process so that it can improve coffee quality. In fact, there are 2 stages of the process, namely the stripping stage and the separation stage between the skin of the coffee fruit and the coffee beans. The peeling process uses a blade designed in such a way as to fulfill the function of peeling the dry coffee pods, while for separation between the coffee beans and the peeled skin, they use wind suction sucked by an axial blower so that because the weight of the skin is lighter than the coffee beans, then The skin of the coffee beans will be sucked while the coffee is not. In this report, reports from the design stages, making working drawings, component manufacturing techniques, and component manufacturing. This final project report can be a new tool for the manufacture of knives and a separating system for the dry coffee pods peeler.
