English talking book as a media to give motivation and convey information or materials. It can help the students focus and understand the information and materials which learned and listened without doing another activity and need more concentration. We have seen that English talking book aids make a lesson more enjoyable and more effective. The use of English talking book also helps in better retention of the content.
The problem of this research is, ÃâIs there any significant effect of using English Talking Book on Listening Comprehension of the eighth grade students at MTS N II Jember in the 2012 / 2013 Academic Year?Ãâ The objective of this research is, ÃâTo know whether or not there is a significant effect in using English Talking Book on listening comprehension of the eighth grade students at MTS N II Jember in the 2012 / 2013 Academic Year.Ãâ Bassed on the theory, the hypothesis is ÃâThere is any significant effect of using English talking book on the studentsÃâ listening comprehension of MTS N II Jember in 2012 / 2013.Ãâ
This research is Experimental research, the design of this research is Randomized Control Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. This Research takes 2 classes of 8 classes in MTs. N II Jember. To obtain the research data, the researcher uses random sampling by lottery. Test is used to collect the student reading comprehension score as the data of this research. T-Test formula in SPSS 16.0 Program is used in count the student differences between experimental group and control group.
The research is conducted from May 18th until May 30th 2013. The result of the test analysis in chapter IV, the value of t-test is 4.789 with the probability 0.000 with the significance level 0.05. the data shows that the probability value is
