Vocabulary is one of the components that constitute language knowledge, and vocabulary teaching is an essential part in English language teaching. However, many students find vocabulary as one of the problems in learning English. Therefore, it is important to do a research entitled ÃâThe Effect of Using Hidden Picture Puzzle Game on Vocabulary Mastery at VII Grade Students of Mts. At-Taqwa Bondowoso in The Academic Year 2014/2015Ãâ.
In this research, the problem is Ãâis there a significant difference of vocabulary mastery in class using Hidden Picture puzzle game and class which is not at VII Grade Students of Mts. At-Taqwa Bondowoso in The Academic Year 2014/2015?Ãâ and the objective of this research referring to the research problem is to know whether or not there is a significant difference of vocabulary mastery in class using Hidden Picture puzzle game and class which is not. Based on the research problem and the relevant theory, the hypothesis of this research is described as follows: There is a significant difference of vocabulary mastery in class using Hidden Picture puzzle game and class which is not at VII Grade Students of Mts. At-Taqwa Bondowoso in The Academic Year 2014/2015.
The design of this research is quasi experimental research which use nonrandomized pre-test and post-test control group design. The research subjects are VII B which consist of 30 students as control class and VII D which consist of 31 students as experimental class. The research conducted on April twenty second and twenty third, on Wednesday at 12.30 Ãâ 13.20 and Thursday at 08.40 Ãâ 10.00. The instrument used to collect the data is test in the form of objective test.
After analyzing the data, it can be known that the significant of variances is 0.029 and the significant of t test is 0.018. With the 95% confidence, the significant is less than 0.05. It shows that the different result is significant. It means that there is a significant difference of vocabulary mastery in class using Hidden Picture puzzle game and class which is not at VII grade students of Mts. At-Taqwa Bondowoso in the academic year 2014/2015.
