Abstract The title of this final project is "The Making of a Cookbook: Typical Foods of Aceh". The aims are to introduce the variety of typical foods of Aceh to foreigners and Indonesian people, to persuade Indonesian people to enjoy and preserve typical foods of Aceh, to provide information to the readers to make the foods and to add the availability of traditional Indonesian cookbooks. Some theories are used in developing the product. The theories are writing techniques, writing styles, types of sentences and translation techniques. The methods in developing the product begins by considering the topic, collecting data, library study, observation, interview, selecting data, how to use the data, writing process, designing, until printing and binding the book. The cookbook entitled "Typical Foods of Aceh" is the result of this project. The book contains 15 recipes which are categorised into five chapters: Typical Seafood of Aceh, Typical Processed Vegetables of Aceh, Typical Processed Meat of Aceh, Typical Snacks of Aceh and Other Recipes.
