This project is about the mini encyclopedia book of Indonesian tropical plants for children at the age of 8 to 11. It is conducted since Indonesian tropical plants is important to learn especially by Indonesian children or western children who do not have tropical plants in their country. Children can learn about a growing thing which is the plant, especially Indonesian tropical plants. In developing the project, the data was collected from library study and interview. Some data collected was from Bahasa Indonesia; thus, it needed to be translated into English. After being translated, the data was paraphrased and summarized to make it understandable for readers who are children. To make the readers learn more about the plants, several additional plants' facts were added in each chapter. Besides, since most of the data found was not written for children, all of the data was re- written using simple vocabularies and sentences that fit for children. The language used in the product was checked and controlled by software called Paul Nation. Therefore, the result of this project is a mini children's encyclopedia book of Indonesian tropical plants for children based on the classification of the plants' benefits which is written in English. Hopefully, this project can increase children's interest in reading book, and it can also become children to learn English and plants in a more enjoyable way.
