This project is about the making an informational book about Silek Tuo Minangkabau. The result of the project is the book providing information about one of pencak silat schools in Minangkabau. The book is an informational book entitled "Silek Tuo Minangkabau"�. The aim of the book is to inform the readers about Silek Tuo Minangkabau. Several theories were used in developing this project, such as the theories of informational book, characteristics of the book, elements of good writing, and writing types. The methods used in collecting the data were library study, interview, and field observation. The book contains the history of Minangkabau, the philosophy of Silek Tuo Minangkabau, and the movements of Silek Tuo Minangkabau. In writing the book, descriptive writing, informative/explanatory writing, and procedural writing were used. These styles of writing were used to make the readers understand about what information being delivered. Keywords: informational book, Silek Tuo Minangkabau.
