This final project entitled "The Making of an Informational Book about Tayuban: The Sacred Ceremony of Harvest in Desa Rangkah, Kebumen, Central Java" explains about the ceremony from Desa Rangkah, Kebumen, Central Java Province. The result of this final project is a book entitled "Tayuban: The Sacred Ceremony of Harvest in Desa Rangkah, Kebumen, Central Java"�. The book has seven chapters which consist of the introduction of the book, Slametan, Tayuban, ritual of Tayuban, Walimahan Tenong, Dondangan party and Tayub dance. The purpose of this final project is to inform the readers about Tayuban in Desa Rangkah. Several theories were used in developing this project, such as definition of informational book definition, types of writing, types of sentences, Slametan definition, and Tayuban definition. Three methods used in collecting the data are interview, observation, and library study. There are three writing techniques used in this final project. Those are narrative, descriptive, and expository writing. The narrative writing is used to explain the history of Tayuban. Then, Descriptive writing is used to describe the ritual offerings. The last writing technique is expository writing that is used to explain the process of dancing Tayub. Keywords: Tayuban, Desa Rangkah, Sacred Ceremony.
