The content of the final project report is about the making of an informational book that explains the techniques to do self-defense. The techniques here are from pencak silat. Pencak silat as a martial art can give knowledge to protect and to attack. The techniques selected are the most basic technique that can be followed by people who are new to learn self-defense. Therefore, informational book is an answer to learn self-defense. In conducting the content of an informational book, the qualitative method of collecting data is used. The book is developed through several steps that begin with collecting information about the pencak silat community, surveying the community, doing the observation, taking pictures, interviewing, making an outline, writing, designing, editing, revising, proofreading, and printing. Some theories applied in developing the book are about self-defense, pencak silat, informational book, writing techniques, writing style, and design. The result of the final project conducted is an informational book entitled Pencak Silat: Self Defense for Women. It is expected that the book can give new knowledge to the readers about how to do self-defense. Keywords: Informational Book, Self-defense, Pencak Silat.
