There are a few English listening materials that focused on Indonesian culture or habit. This project is conducted in order to help Indonesian learners get information that is familiar with their knowledge or life through listening. The project title is “Listening Materials for English Learners in Indonesia”. There were two main steps to accomplish this project: (1) writing texts and exercises and (2) audio production that was divided into three parts: pre-production consisted of preparing the tools to be used and selecting the talents (native speakers), production consisted of using program Cool Edit Pro 2 to record and edit the audio, and post-production consisted of transferring the audio into CD (compact disk).The result of this project was eight minutes audio tape which included five texts inside the audio and several types of listening exercises which was packaged into CD. For those who are interested in making listening materials, it would be better to prepare more time, crews, and tools that support its production.
