This report elaborates the process of making 5 children short stories accompanied with the CD audio. The main reason for making the project is the lack of interest in reading in Indonesia. Therefore, this project has the purpose to create the fun way in reading the story book while listening to the audio in the CD that is wrapped in one product, in order to give the entertaiment and encourage the children to read the book especially in English as an international language. The title of this project is The Making of Story Book Accompanied with CD and Kitty the Kitten and other stories. In the making of this project, the main theories used include definition, characteristics and element of short story and also recording method. There are some difficulties found in conducting this project. The main difficulty encountered is the development of the logic flow in fiction story and link it with the theme in the real life. To solve this problem, the writer had a number of discussions with the supervisor, finding a proofreader and reading a lot of story book for children. Since this project has been completed, the main lesson I learned is a number of people are needed to help the process of making this project and story is one of a good media to entertain the children and also to convey the moral teaching as a part of education.
