Indonesia has many beautiful places that contain facts and stories. However, most of the places are still unexplored. Those places should be promoted to the world because promoting the places will give many benefits. One of the media to promote those places is documentary video. Two of the beautiful places that have been recorded into a documentary video are Mount Kerinci and Nusakambangan. Nonetheless, those videos are only dubbed in Indonesian language with a native resident as the narrator and the main figure. In order to reveal and promote those places to the world, putting English subtitle is chosen in conducting this project. Furthermore, subtitling is suitable for keeping the originalities of those videos, such as the narrator's voice and dialect. Therefore, the audience could know and value the local language of the resident. This project produces English subtitles for two videos. Thus, translation techniques and subtitling techniques were applied. This project is then expected to have contributions to promote the places in the two selected videos.
