Pada suatu pekerjaan proyek konstruksi gedung bertingkat penggunaaan tower crane sangatlah membantu dalam penyelesaian pekerjaan. Tower crane juga memegang peranan penting soal kecepatan dan percepatan pekerjaan. Berdasarkan pertimbangan penggunaan tower crane sebagaimana disebutkan maka pada skripsi ini penulis mencoba menjelaskan bagaimana cara pemilihan dan penentuan tower crane yang tepat untuk tingkat produktifitas suatu daerah konstruksi dan jumlah tower crane yang mungkin di gunakan agar proyek dapat berjalan sesuai dengan time schedule pada konstruksi gedung bertingkat.br /
Study kasus dilakukan dengan cara mengamati kinerja tower crane di lapangan. Proyek yang ditinjau adalah proyek pembangunan TRANS IBIS HOTEL BANDUNG di Jalan Gatot Subroto No. 289 Bandung, Jawa Barat Indonesia. Pengamatan di lakukan terhadap 1 tower crane dan 4 buah tower crane. Pengamatan yang dilakukan mengenai perhitungan produktivitas tower crane dalam sehari, baik 1 buah tower crane maupun 4 buah tower crane. Dari hasil pengamatan maka dapat diketahui produktifitas yang efektif pada penggunaan tower crane serta biaya sewa yang di keluarkan.br /
Kesimpulan dari hasil pengamatan adalah penggunaan tower crane sangat diperlukan pada pembanguan gedung bertingkat. Penggunaan 4 buah tower crane lebih baik di bandingkan 1 tower crane karena pada perbandingan waktu kerja produktif yang efektif lebih besar presentasinya dibandingkan biaya sewa yang di keluarkan.

At a high rise building construction project work the use of tower cranes are very helpful in the completion of the work. Tower cranes also plays an important matter of speed and acceleration work. Based on consideration of the use of tower cranes as defined in this skipsi the author tries to explain how the selection and determination of tower cranes are appropriate to the level of productivity of a construction area and the number of tower cranes that may be used so that projects can be run in accordance with the time schedule on the construction of buildings.br /
Case study carried out by observing the performance of tower cranes in the field. The project is a project which reviewed the development TRANS IBIS HOTEL BANDUNG at Jalan Gatot Subroto No. 289 Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The observation is done against a tower crane tower crane and 4 pieces. The observations made about the calculation of productivity of tower cranes in a day, either 1 piece or 4 pieces of tower cranes tower cranes. From the observation it is known that effective productivity in the use of tower cranes as well as the rental fee is issued.br /
Conclusions from observations is the use of tower cranes are very necessary in Development storey building. The use of 4 pieces of tower cranes is better compared to a tower crane because the ratio of productive work time more effective presentation than the rental fee is issued.
